At Phillips & Marek, Joan Groover draws on decades of experience producing high-impact events, from exclusive private gatherings to large-scale corporate experiences. Known for pairing creativity with strategy, she designs branded events that elevate storytelling, strengthen audience engagement and support broader marketing goals.
As part of the Phillips & Marek team, Joan uses her experiential design skills to help lead production of a new luxury line of home and corporate gaming products and décor. As the primary buyer, she also selects companion pieces that enhance the overall brand experience and create memorable moments.
Beyond the agency, Joan is a highly successful grant writer focused on historic preservation initiatives across Georgia, securing millions of dollars in national funding for restoration projects centered on civil rights history. Her work with historic properties began more than a decade ago and continues with her non-profit organization that includes a team of operational, construction and historic preservation professionals.
An accountant by training, Joan holds a master’s degree from Georgia State University and brings a strong operational lens to every project she manages. Outside her professional work, she leverages her real estate license through a home staging business and volunteers weekly as a floral designer for Atlanta-area houses of worship.
